DDESSIN {14}
2nd edition of DDessin
Contemporary Drawing Fair
From 28th to 30th March, the 2nd edition of DDessin, DDessin {14}, will fill the 700 m2 of the elegant, glass-roofed spaces of the Atelier Richelieu in Paris.
DDessin will reaffirm its intimate style this year. A dozen French and foreign galleries will honour all forms of contemporary drawing through multiple exhibit formats and techniques.
A carte blanche will be given to Evelyne and Jacques Deret, collectors of contemporary art, who will allow us to discover part of their collection for the first time. Julie Brusley’s previously unseen installation, specially designed for the exhibition, will punctuate the visit tour. An Illustrators’ Corner will gather the work of four illustrators, French and foreign, who work for the press, fashion industry, and publishing industry. Two conferences will be held: a conference with Arafat Sadallah, a philosopher and collaborator on the platform of reflection on contemporary Arab creation SIWA, as well as a conference with Estelle Bories, an art critic, dedicated to the position of the graphic arts in contemporary China. Presentations entitled «Les Soirées Dessinées» will give numerous artists the chance to give live demonstrations of their artistic process. The DDessin {14} / Institut français de Tanger Prize will be awarded at the end of the event by a jury made up of personalities from the artistic and cultural sphere.
